Learn how your farm can participate in a growing enterprise that is selling high-quality, nutritious food into markets across the Illinois region. We are committed to building relationships in the supply chain with people who honor fair prices, understand how hard it is to grow high-quality food, and respect farmers.
Are you using organic practices or beyond? We welcome all vegetable and meat farmers who are building soil health through non-toxic, biological farming systems to take the next steps and reach out. You do not need to be organic certified, but many of our farmers choose this path as well. After contact, we will schedule a site tour to better understand how you are managing soil and crop health. We are committed to connecting our growers with the best, most trustworthy agronomy available.
The Stewart family is a great example of how we expect our farmers to get involved and act with kindness. We require that from our farmers. Our network of farmers is committed to working together as collaborators, not as competitors. This also means respecting deadlines, crop planning schedules, and food safety requirements. We are all in this together to make a healthier food supply.

Down at the Farms LLC is open to do business with any family farm that is operating with organic standards or beyond. We do not require organic certification, but we do require that the food we distribute is grown without the use of synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. Most of our farmers are using a blend of biological farming practices, along with regenerative elements, to create the highest quality food we can. There is no upfront fee or annual membership charge.
Restaurants, corporate centers, CSAs, prescription food programs, food hubs, charities, and grant programs.
Yes, which is why more than 120 farmers are working with us each week and our customers agree they have to a reasonable rate a higher quality product. We charge a consistent rate for farmers to market, sell, store, and distribute food to nearly 100 locations each week, and estimate our services are saving our farmers 8-16 hours per week and up to 40% of their annual costs.
Yes. Your products will remain your products throughout the entire process. This transparency builds more trust throughout the process between growers and eaters.
No. We've been operating for more than 20 years.
Absolutely. Our onboarding processes require farmers to understand how to store and transport food safely to our distribution center in Fairbury, Illinois. We take this very seriously, and have an immaculate record for food safety in our 20-year history.
